Since I see Toothpaste as a subject here, I just wanted to share this with you. Talk about natural, lol. Anyway, I make kefir and belong to a yahoo kefir group and Dom is probably the most knowledgeable person in the world when it comes to kefir. I have not tried this toothpaste yet, but other members of the group and of course Dom himself swear by it:

What an interesting article, Patty! Thank you so much!
I have been using an 100% food grade organic lemon flavored toothpaste from MiEssence that I really like. My gums and toungue are starting to look much healthier.

I use Tooth Soap from www.perfect-prescription.com. I like it!

I have tried every natural toothpaste on the market here in Adelaide, had some really gross ones and some pretty good ones, but have to say I just love the Mint Toothpaste by MiEssence....its baking soda, aloe vera and sea salt based and really nice (once I got used to it not foaming)
Has anyone else tried a toothpaste called Vicco Vajradanti? I have been using this one exclusively for about 30 years or so. It usually is available in Indian or Pakistani grocery stores. Great stuff! No fluoride, sodium laureth anything or other toxic goo in it at all.

That made me smile. I doubt there is an Indian or Pakistani store anywhere in the state of Maine...possibly nothing north of Boston. This is still the frontier!

Ooh, I'll have a look tomorrow at our little herbal dispensary. There's loads of Ayurvedic products there and I'm pretty sure some toothpaste... not the easiest of words to memorise though, lol. Cheers.
I bought some toothpaste the other day - the usual stuff I use - and started to brush... and GAHHHHHHHHHH I was almost sick. They've added SLS to the product! I couldn't believe just how gross it was to have a mouth full of foam.
How the hell did I tolerate that as a kid, it's absoloutely minging, scuse the term. Need to find something non-foamy non-gunky asap.
At least there's no fluoride - that's like an instant sentence to a mouth full of ulcers, lol.
