Lots of health benefits from all three ingredients.

Grate Ginger root into a cup, use an amount to suit the level of ginger your taste buds can tolerate.
Add the juice of one large lemon.
Add hot (not boiling) water.
Add one heaped teaspoon of Manuka honey.
Enjoy

If you don't have Manuka honey, other types of honey can be substituted but the drink will have the additional health benefits of the Manuka honey.
It is impotant that the water should not be boiling. It will be further cooled by the cold lemon juice and is less likely to destroy the health benefits of the Manuka honey when it is added. For this reason it is important to add the honey last.

Thanks, Aaltrude! I tried this this morning when I woke up feeling like I was coming down with a bug. It helped me breathe better and just felt good. Going for a second dose this evening!

If you are not used to grated fresh ginger, start with 1/2 teaspoon or less and work your way up. Some people find fresh ginger very spicy/hot the first time they try it.

I love the hotness of freshly grated ginger and I add quite a bit to this drink. I have never measured the amount I use - just add it by eye - but it would certainly be a reasonable amount more than a tablespoon full.

I am going to work up to that-I think it is so good for inflammation and circulation and digestive health. This is such a nice drink to get all of these 3 superfoods in your system. I ordered a jar of Manuka Honey to be sent to my stepdaughter who is having a time with her sinuses due to high pollen. I'll let you know how she does.
