I saw an iridologist today, and he said that I "...would do well with live enzyme therapy."
But all along, I thought that I had been doing "enzyme therapy" since I juice each and everyday?
Are the enzymes that they sell in the markets a scam?
Are they dangerous?
Do they help?
Do they harm?
What do you think?

What did the person recommend them for-digestion, pain or cardiovascular health?
What type did they recommend and when to take them?
(Example: for pain or cardio take on empty stomach, for digestion take with meals).
Need more information...

Ressacat,
He said to use "Proactazyme Plus".
Here is a weird one: On Tuesday night, I called him at the health food store asking questions about Iridology. After a while, I asked him about his accent. He said that he was from Panama. So, I continued the end of our conversation in spanish.
The following day, I walked to the back to see him where he was working on two Mexican ladies. He looked up, and said to me in spanish, "Ah, I have been waiting for you!"
Now bear in mind; this place was semi-busy, and he regularly has people seeing him in the back. I am also anglo, and nobody (unless I am in a spanish-speaking country) ever initiates a conversation with me in spanish. Never. I am simply too gringa.
That was definitely one of my more unusual experiences.

Okay-Proactazyme Plus is a digestive enzyme supplement. It does have protease and lipase enzymes to help digest protein and fat, which would supplement the juicing raw enzymes. Nature's Sunshine is a good company used by naturopaths and I think it would be very safe to use. Here is the product link:
