A poster on another site mentioned it. Coincidentally, her name was Julieanne.

"Turmeric, astaxanthin did nothing for me, but I got really great relief from pain with cetyl myristoleate (CMO).The pain went away in about three days. Before that I could hardly turn my neck around as it was so painful. The beauty of this is you only have to take it for a month, not the rest of your life. You may need a second course at some time, but again, for a month."

Hope someone comes along who can speak to the chemistry. Vitacost.com carries several brands in a price range.

Here is the thread discussing cetyl myristoleate:

I had started to try it again, and wasn't seeing any change. I went grain free and that helped reduce pain by 50%.

Still pain free, and it has been a month since I took the second lot. I keep a checklist of dates in a diary, so I'm keeping an eye on this to see how long I remain without arthritis pain.

Thanks for finding the thread Reesacat - I''m hopeless at tracking things down!

Thanks to both of you. In my case it's not about pain, it's how my typing fingers have stiffened. That's the antidote I'm looking for! Suggestions welcome!
