GROW YOUR OWN GROCERIES!
I am proud and excited to introduce my friend Marjory Wildcraft. Marjory has produced for the aspiring gardener and farmsteader, the most comprehensive package of how-to instructions and advice that I have ever seen. The set contains three disks: two DVDs of hands-on how-tos, and one containing an immense library of print resources. This one collection of video and print DIY resources will replace all the how-to books on your shelf. But I won't waste words. Use this link to let Marjory tell her own amazing story. I promise, you will not be disappointed!

Islander's mead recipe
Moonie Petul asked for the recipe I was using to make mead. Here it is, but bear in mind, I'm only at the point of gathering the plastic jugs. I do have all the honey I will need, though. If I can remember, I'll follow up with results, though the bottles will have to age for 6 months...if I live that long, I'll get back to you!

Wouldn't glass jugs be better, Islander?

Honey, those big glass retorts are expensive. Milk jugs are free. The finished product does go into glass wine bottles which I've been saving!
The wine I had to drink! Oh, the sacrifice!

I am also mildly allergic to bee stings. The best remedy I have found to put on a bee sting is toothpaste.
