GROW YOUR OWN GROCERIES!

Photo of MarjoryI am proud and excited to introduce my friend Marjory Wildcraft. Marjory has produced for the aspiring gardener and farmsteader, the most comprehensive package of how-to instructions and advice that I have ever seen. The set contains three disks: two DVDs of hands-on how-tos, and one containing an immense library of print resources. This one collection of video and print DIY resources will replace all the how-to books on your shelf. But I won't waste words. Use this link to let Marjory tell her own amazing story. I promise, you will not be disappointed!

Default A Sweet, Sweet Summer: Unrefined Dehydrated Whole Cane Sugar

Unrefined Dehydrated Whole Cane Sugar (Sucanat, Rapadura, Panela and Muscovado)

Unrefined sugars can be SO confusing. Not only are they unfamiliar in the culture, tough to find at your local grocery store, and a maze of nutritional myths when it comes to the question, “Are unrefined sugars healthier than white sugar?” but then you’ve got 3 and 4 names for basically the same product.

Want the real scoop on Sucanat, Rapadura, Panela and Muscovado sugar?

I've been reading Katie's blog for some time now and follow her on Facebook. I'm very impressed with how much research she does and how she presents it. She has tackled sugars, grains, fermenting, soaking grains, etc., health cleaning products, and so much more.

She is a young mother who is trying to do right by her family by checking out all these things. She also is Catholic, and so several of her posts reflect religious holidays thru the year.

Because of these two issues (i still have a hard time reading "mommy blogs"), i don't always read her blog, but her information about many things is spot on, usually. I would recommend putting her blog on your "to read" list if you are interested. She writes very well and thoroughly.
