A new study examines the connection between organic food marketing and anti-social behavior.

“Is that USDA organic or Oregon organic or Portland organic?” asks a character played by singer Carrie Brownstein, one of the stars of the great IFC network sketch comedy Portlandia, in a widely loved restaurant skit (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2LBICPEK6w) from the show’s first episode last year.
“It’s just all across the board organic,” the server responds before excusing herself.
When she returns a moment later, the waitress shares with the diners a pamphlet of information about the chicken before presenting its “papers” for inspection. This helps her to fill in the pretentious would-be diners on the life of “Colin,” who as its name suggests actually was a rooster—which makes the joke even funnier (https://www.google.com/search?source=ig&hl=en&rlz=1G1GGLQ_ENUS302&=&q=male+chicken+eat&oq=male+chicken+eat&aq=f&aqi=g-K1g-mK1g-b1g-bK7&aql=&gs_l=igoogle.3..0i30j0i5i30j0i8j0i8i30l7.10043.176 76.0.18110.—before it came to star as an entrée.

I liked this article — this story has been going around and some of them just posted the research without explanation which didn't make any sense. Why show PICTURES of organic food rather than test people who ate organic food just baffled me until I read Ms. Linnekin's article. Testing the connection between organic food MARKETING and anti-social behavior made much more sense using pictures of organic food (which was branded and marketed).
Thank you Julieanne:)

Didn't Mellow post this somewhere a couple of days ago? I posted an article about the study but this is more accurate as to what he was actually studying. The other article did not mention marketing. I have no idea what the title of that other was called and can't find it, lol.
