A few days ago a former sweetheart (between wives!) told me her brother had a kidney infection. She was puzzled because he was usually formidably healthy and had never had anything like it before. It seemed just “out of the blue.”

So I asked the one question that doctors NEVER ask (not even most holistic doctors) and that is:

Did he have dental work just a few days before his kidney infection started?

This is something absolutely vital to establish. The mouth is the source of some hideous germs.....

Wow, I've read rumblings of this on mercola.com but nothing so dramatic. I'm relieved that I have had dentures for at least 25 years!

Do you think rinsing with hydrogen peroxide everyday would help prevent such nasties?

I have found adding hydrogen peroxide swish and rinse to oil pulling (coconut oil) brushing teeth with Earthpaste toothpaste and flossing my gums and teeth look better.

Do you swish with hydrogen peroxide after oil pulling, Reesacat? What concentration and mixed with how much water?

I use the standard 3% H2O2 you buy at drugstore. I do it when I brush my teeth in the morning. Sometimes before oil pulling, sometimes after. I use it straight -- I don't dilute the H2O2.

Thanks, Reesacat. I wonder if I should add that to my routine. (I don't floss.)

I t is cheap, easy to use, and you can see if it helps in few weeks. My kind of solution LOL!

Dr. Hal Huggins goes into detail on this and other dentistry-related problems and solutions in his books. He also recommends large doses of vitamin C before and during dental procedures (extractions, etc.), but he says that oral vitamin C will cause the anesthetic not to work! So he recommends IV vitamin C. What I've wondered since reading his books some years ago is if lipospheric C would have the same effect on the anesthetic. (It either wasn't common or wasn't even around when he wrote the books I read.) The author of the article posted doesn't address that question.

Patty, I take 3g Vitamin C every day, and have done for a while (not sure when I started, but at least a year ago). I have had a few dental treatments since then, and the anesthetic certainly did work! Perhaps 3g is not considered a high dose?

Sorry, Julieanne, I guess I wasn't clear. He just says if you take it within 24 before the procedure, it will cause the anesthetic not to work. I guess that must show what a powerful detoxifier vitamin C is!
