View Full Version : Candle suggestions?????

Does anyone have any suggestions for candles that are good to burn while eating? I must admit that I like the lightly scented (don't hate, folks) candles while in a bath, but when I eat, I don't want to smell plumeria while I eat steak, and potatoes.
Oh, and I hate soy. Everything is soy, soy, soy.

What do people give old ladies whose needs or tastes are unknown? Soap and candles. I don't care too much for the scented ones because I've read about the chemicals in fragrances. If I were to have a candlelight dinner, I think I'd choose plain beeswax, which have no scent at all (that I can detect).

Second that: Beeswax.

I love the smell of beeswax candles-it is a very light honey/vanilla type smell to me.

I can't help with suggestions. The smoke from any candle makes me feel ill.

I love beeswax candles too but can no longer even use those :(

Thanks for the replies, all.
I wonder what they used 200 years ago? Mellow, really? Oh my gosh.

Whale oil, tallow, lamp oil.
