My understanding had been that the bioflavonoids which accompany ascorbate when found in nature, such as hesperidin, rutin, etc., are essential to prevent gum disease.
And once again, I am so glad that I live where I live. Now to start cooking some of those nice fresh collard greens.
"Dispelling myths and encouraging people to fact-check sources could help build trust with the public."
IMHO the better means of building trust with the public would be for official health...
Actually I have read very little about the people who have died in Norway from the vaccine. One really has to dig to ferret out as much information as possible about this. Much has been made about...
Welcome to the HH forum James!
Thanks for the reminder. I actually did forget. In the mail today.
Thank you Tony Samsel! My strange little mind wonders if the lower humidity created indoors in rooms or buildings with air conditioning might not be such a good thing in this regard. Normally our...
Here on the island we have Senepol beef cattle, which have been bred to thrive in our tropical climate. They are delicious, and not expensive at all, especially if one buys ground beef. These cows...
I have been observing the words being used in heavy rotation, such as "vaccine hesitancy", or being "nervous" about the vaccines. This seems to imply that people can be persuaded (or coerced) into...
List Of Foods Not To Feed Your DogHere’s an alphabetized list of foods that are unsafe and unfit for canine consumption, many of which are toxic to dogs. Be sure to look below this list for a helpful...
No advice, but from me some empathy. As a mostly retired part time dog walker, I have very little contact with humans on a daily basis. I do try to keep up with my weight training and other...
No Frankengoats here; all natural goatiness.
As we do not have dairy cattle here, and I like to eat local food as much as possible, I do eat a great amount of goat cheese and goat yogurt. Love it!
I have a small strap wrench, similar to the ones used for oil filters. It can be used for small lids, or can be turned over and used for large lids (up to a certain size). If a jar is way too large...

The successful uptake of any vaccine for Covid-19,...
The article left out some critical "side effects", such as cartilage damage, death of nearby bone, and tendon weakening or rupture. These are not trivial, and have ruined the careers of many...
Perhaps I am too cavalier with my mask, but I just stick it in the laundry and air dry it in the sunshine. Around here everybody, except for some of the tourists, wears a mask in all public indoor...
We have no time changing here, but they do it on the mainland where our TV and radio programming originate, so all of our news and other shows now come on an hour later than usual. This will...
This is a delicate issue. I am all in favor of combining efforts and creating consensus from a meeting of the best scientific minds, but the potential for coercion just is that much greater when...
Pictures are highly suspect. Most boilers are not large enough to walk around inside. This is why we are called "boiler crawlers".
Try having hot flashes whilst crawling through a boiler's steam drum on a nice hot summer day.
Here is my concern: Why would it be considered necessary to eat gluten? It is not a necessary nutrient. Making it possible to eat something which is unnecessary just seems like a big sales pitch...
We have one slaughterhouse on the island, called the abattoir. It has been broken down and non-functional for so long that no animals have been slaughtered for years. Of course, the supply of local...
