Default BEST HEALTH RECOMMENDATIONS: A Short Summary

Almost everything we explore and discuss on this site has been summarized in the following article. Although they omit a couple of the Blue Zones, and although longevity is perhaps not the best indicator of quality of life, on the whole the only thing I can think of that may have been omitted was regular exposure to midday sun to raise one's vitamin D levels. I thought this would serve as an excellent overview of what's covered on Hawkes' Health.

USA currently has an average life expectancy of 77 years of age. However this does not equate to a high quality of life for american senior citizens. It is in fact one of the poorest in the world.
There are many reasons for this weird anomaly considering all of the resources and technological advances we have in the west.

There are many other cultures who actually live a lot longer but also have far better quality of lives and today I am going to discuss all the positive things we can take from these cultures.

You might also try downloading some of their sample binaural "brainwave entrainment" audios. Good music to meditate with!

He mentions 'pulsed grains'. What on earth are they? I know grains and pulses, but haven't come across this expression.

Good summary, and good advice on diet. Eat the rainbow of colors in your food...is advice I need to heed. I focus on green veggies and forget about the red, orange, yellow, and purple ones.

It is unusual —I found this on a Google search:
A pulse is a grain legume of the family Fabaceae of plants that feature papilionaceous (5-petal butterfly-shaped) flowers and seed pods.

European Pulses and Their Taxonomic Tribes

Fabeae - Peas, faba beans, lentils
    Phaseoleae - Soybeans, Phaseolus beans.
    Genisteae - Lupins
    Cicereae - Chickpeas

English peas or black-eyed/field peas, love 'em both. Lentils too. Fava beans... I remember something funny about an estrogen connection, I think. But chickpeas! What would we do without hummus or felafel? Thanks for clarifying that, Reesacat!

I didn't know you could get flora from cured meat, I figured Q10 maybe from fresh meat. Pretty good info on that site Islander.

I do, do the binaural beat thing along with the 526 hz music and earth natural 7.8 cycle which is the exact cycle beat of the human body I have found. All of them together makes for me one big relaxing whack on the head, I am out in no time flat, Very relaxing.
