Excellent video. Sayer Ji stated that just 2 tablespoons of organic coconut oil per day for 1-3 months can significantly reduce belly fat. May give this a try.

I'm thinking about including coconut oil in my diet, but Im still in two minds, there are some articles aor videos that say that coconut oil is a healthy fat, it has so many benefits and is even recommended for people with type 2 diabetes - view this page concerning coconut oil and diabetes, while a lot of people say its bad for you as its high in saturated fat and can increase cholesterol.

Welcome to the forum, Chiarlie! "A lot of people" are uninformed or misled about the role of saturated fat and cholesterol in our health. The food industry has been promoting that low-fat business for a generation, and where did it get us? Fat, sick, diabetic.
Briefly, the body needs healthy saturated fat (from organic, pastured animals, not from CAFOs). When you remove fat, you have to replace it with something... and that something is usually excess carbs in the form of starches and sugars. Fat is filling, so we eat less; without it, we pig out on carbs, gain weight, become insulin resistant and soon, diabetic.
Cholesterol? It's right where your body needs it to be. Your body has 1000 uses for cholesterol (it's what your brain is made of). Dietary fat does not raise serum cholesterol.
Coconut oil is high in lauric acid. What else is also high? Breast milk.
There's a lot of anecdotal evidence that coconut oil can deter Alzheimers disease, too. Go ahead and try a small jar. Most people love it!

Hi Chiarlie. Welcome to Hawkes Health.
I started using coconut oil little over a year ago and have noticed a feel better than I did previously as a result of using it.

Hi Chiarlie. The connection between dietary fat and increased cholesterol levels have been studied and pretty much debunked. I've attached a link to the best discussion I've ever read on this issue. It summarizes at least 8 different bona fide studies conducted to determine if there exists a connection between dietary fat and increased cholesterol levels, and concludes that the evidence shows a weak or no association between the two factors. The most recent study was the Health Professional Follow-up study, published in 1996. This was a massive, well funded study that found no relationship between saturated fat intake and blood cholesterol. Here's the link: http://wholehealthsource.blogspot.co...-increase.html
