Amid a flurry of disinformation from mainstream media claiming multivitamins are a waste of money, a quietly-released study has shown one of the great benefits of taking them. Men consuming a multivitamin each day showed an 8% reduction in risk of cancer across the board.

Scientists from Brigham and Women’s Hospital in conjunction with those at Harvard Medical School used data from the Physicians’ Health Study II, a large-scale, randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled investigation of 14,641 male physicians in the U.S., initially aged 50 or older, with a mean age of 64.3 years. Personally, I totally have lost patience with entities that purport to tell me how to spend my hard earned money. Why is it any of their business whether or not I choose to squander my own money on vitamins, when they choose to waste their own money on some different expenditure? I just have the desire to shout out "please mind your own business!"

Of course, the readers of this forum generally are quite aware of the importance of their own personal health practices. The general population watching TV, reading, listening to radio, etc. are quite susceptible to this sort of intrusive blather. These same people generally are unaware of the not-so-hidden agenda behind the incessant attempts to control the manner that individuals care for their own health.
