"wr" et al; I always recall reading/hearing that the highest degree of nutrients in certain fruits was in the pectin under the skin of an apple, and also under the rind of citrus fruit. http://myhealthygreenfamily.com/blog...ur-own-pectin/ So one might want to consider the nutrients as well as the taste. I googled <organic raw citrus pectin nutrient>, and there is quite a lot on the subject. Pectin is commercially modified for medicinal purposes known as MCP (Modified Citrus Pectin) which dominates much of this google search, with my above link being an exception.

Right, I take MCP daily as part of my detox efforts. And I always eat the white part of citrus fruits!

Yup, that's right grulla. Pectin is good stuff, and I once took a grapefruit pectin supplement for about a year. It does taste better in capsule form.

How cool! Thank you, Julieanne. The 'lemons' that look a bit like small oranges and smell like disinfectant are called "Gallego lemons." Are you familiar with those also?

Sorry, never heard of them. I might know them by another name, but they don't sound familiar. - or very appealing! What you call Tahiti lemons are actually Tahitian limes - maybe they're called lemons because they turn yellow when ripe.

I get far more than I can use, and manage to freeze enough juice to last all year., as well as giving lots away. It made a very disappointing marmalade though!

Here is a great way, from today's EcoWatch article, "9 Benefits and Uses of Lemon Peel", https://www.ecowatch.com/health-bene...#rebelltitem10
to resurrect and add to this great and informative 4 YO. HH lemon thread, "Who in his right mind freezes lemons".

The one thing that did disappoint me in today's EcoWatch lemon article is the lack of mentioning the imortant need to use organic lemons. But at least they do describe how to properly wash the reasonably impervious lemon skin against pesticide and pathogens such as listeria, just like the recent avocado problem. But no matter how you slice 'n dice this EcoWatch lemon article, organic is always better, something EcoWatch should have mentioned and emphasized.
