    Default Islander's best meat loaf

    This is a kind of sweet & sour loaf. When I bring it to potlucks, there are never any leftovers to take home!

    1 1/2# ground beef
    1 C rolled oats
    3/4 C milk
    1 egg
    1/4 C diced onion
    splash of Worcestershire sauce

    Combine & bake in a 350Ëš oven 45-50 minutes. After 15 minutes, pour off fat & discard. Spoon glaze over. Before serving, pour off glaze into a gravy boat.

    GLAZE
    2/3 C brown sugar
    1/3 C vinegar
    dash of powdered mustard
    dash of Worcestershire sauce

    '1 !/2 # ground beef.' I have no idea what '#' means as a measurement!

    Julie, that's symbol the US uses for pound. It's also the key on your mobile phone that you press when you're told to press the "pound" key.
