Submission To Ombudsman Re Flawed Australian NHMRD Review And Report On Homeopathy

In 2015, the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) released a final report on homeopathy, stating there was no reliable evidence to show it could treat health problems. (This prejudicial report was preceded by other reports, the details of which can be read in the ‘More Information’ links at the bottom of this story).
The Chair of the committee which oversaw the report said homeopathy was a “therapeutic dead end”.
The NHMRC CEO who initiated and signed off on the report is also on record as saying complementary practitioners were “charlatans” and “snake oil merchants wanting to take your money.”
Since then, those antagonistic to homeopathy have used, and continue to use, this report in Australia and beyond to confuse the public and lobby governments against homeopathy.

I used to be a homeopath skeptic. I could not get beyond the fact that a substance diluted to the point where there is hardly a molecule left in the solvent (water), could be in any way effective. That water has a memory is a concept I could never wrap my head around. So what made me a believer? A homeopathic diet that help to me to drop over 60 pounds effortlessly and an incredibly short time, leaving me feeling healthier and livelier than I had in years. It was only after I had been working it for over a week that I discovered it was homeopathic. Had I known that in advance, I might not even have made the attempt!
