Are Yeti cups safe?

Recently, there has been a surge in the popularity of Yeti cups (and their copy cats). They're remarkable because they keep hot beverages hot, and cold beverages cold for a long time in spite of the temp of the room/ car. A fellow sales rep left her Yeti cup in the car for around 12 hours in the hot summer sun, and when she opened it, the cup still had ice in it!

The cups are made of cast aluminum, and have some sort of insulation in between the walls of aluminum- seems simple? But, should we be drinking from these day in and day out?

However, since it is made with kitchen grade stainless steel, there should be no safety issues. That's my opinion, backed by no evidence at all. Anyone else?

The ones Samurai asked about are aluminum, though, aren't they? I certainly wouldn't want to drink out of aluminum.

Duane has bought a knockoff of these. It is stainless steel not aluminum. He is very pleased with it. It does a great job of insulation. It keeps ice through several refills. I personally prefer glass, but he is quite pleased with this cup.

I'd vouch for (and use daily) ceramic and stainlesssteel bowls (sorry, just had to triple throw that out there ah ha) containers but avoid all plastics. Well, except for ziplock bags. Was there ever a stainful steel before stainless?
