Default Video Shows Bacteria Evolving Into Superbugs

With the help of a giant Petri dish, Israeli and American researchers are showing us evolution at its most ferocious.
The time-lapse video above shows the first large-scale glimpse of how bacteria (in this case E. coli) mutate into superbugs when faced with increasing doses of antibiotics, to become 1000 times more resistant than their original state.

Another stunning example for that 49% of the US population that still rejects the concept of evolution. The only country with more doubters than us is Turkey.
What does this mean for the future of the human race in its ability to fight off infectious diseases? We had better boost our immune systems to super strength to resist these superbugs! I always have plenty of garlic on hand, a good supply of vitamin C, a bottle of colloidal silver, and I keep my vitamin D tanks filled. At the end of the summer, probably in mid October, I'll get tested again. I like to keep my level around 80 ng/mL. Just for the record, anyone on Medicare can have this test at no charge; I get it done at least once a year, sometimes twice, spring and fall.

Agreed Islander. It's the sort of thing I say whenever I am advised to vaccinate for flu. I also take astragalus, an immune booster, in winter, and have oil of wild oregano on hand. It's powerful stuff!
