Default FTC Decides To Destroy Homeopathy

    ANH-USA
    November 22 2016

The FDA is no doubt pulling the strings on this.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) recently issued a policy statement explaining that the agency will hold efficacy and safety claims for over-the-counter (OTC) homeopathic drugs to the same standard as claims for other OTC drugs. This means homeopathic OTC products will need to back up claims with “competent and reliable scientific evidence” for health-related claims, or else use certain FDA-approved disclaimers.
Here are some examples of acceptable disclaimers, as noted in the FTC’s policy statement: “There is no scientific evidence that the product works,” or “The product’s claims are based only on theories of homeopathy from the 1700s that are not accepted by most modern medical experts.”

From the comments: "The irony is overwhelming. People die in hospitals at the rate of 440,000 per year due to mistakes, medications and carelessness and you want to worry about homeopathic medications. Do you read the side effects on the medications big pharma wants to protect from common sense and right to choose how your illness or affliction is treated? Big pharma has a worrying trend of coming out with a patent on the herbs in a remedy previously sold over the counter. Let me choose which I want to use and stop the greedy grab that is extending to privatizing everything and consumers watching their bills skyrocket."

Paraphrasing one of my favorite authors, Lee Child, I prefer experience to conjecture. Homeopathic products work for me. That's all I need to know.
