Default How to Keep Your Brain Healthy For Life

This 10-minute presentation is not for women only!

After menopause, many women start “losing names,” struggle to find words, or feel mentally foggy. This can cause some women to worry about getting dementia and even Alzheimer’s disease. The reality is, our brains continue to create new cells for life! After menopause we just move more into the right hemisphere of our brains. Watch my video, and learn how you can keep your brain healthy, and even get smarter, as you grow older.

Don't know why the video won't post, but you can see it at the link below.

Great video. One big takeaway for me: aerobic exercise is better for brain health than stretching exercise. I had been concentrating more on stretching.

I like the idea of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) if I could just train myself to do it. These longest days of the year encourage one to keep going outside until it's almost too dark to see. Believe it or not, Grulla, here at the 45th parallel in midsummer, we have 5-6 extra hours of daylight to work in. For which I'm grateful, because the long cold wet spring had delayed everyone's gardens and we're all playing catch-up. I get in plenty of walking, bending, stretching, lifting, pushing and pulling... but on a farm there's not much opportunity for HIIT. I have to make time for it, and in this busy spring I just haven't.
The good news: with the return of the sun I've been able to store up some D by wearing my birthday suit in the garden!

Edit: yes, the horseflies and deerflies are terrorists!
