Default 97% of terminal cancer patients have had this dental procedure

    Undated, no author cited

Chronic degenerative diseases like cancer, arthritis, and multiple sclerosis are becoming increasingly common in the developed world, despite the tremendous amount of money being invested into researching their cures. About 100 years ago, though, a scientist and doctor made a surprising discovery in connection with a common dental procedure…

    Which one?
    The root canal.

Researchers have estimated that over 40,000 people are receiving root canals procedure every day in the United States, making for more than 25 million root canals every year. For being such a common procedure, it’s also relatively poorly understood by the average person: Essentially, teeth that have been root-canaled can become toxic cesspits for anaerobic bacteria, with a chance of leaking into your bloodstream many years later.

➤ Happiness is the frosting on the cake of contentment.

Root canals are rather archaic anymore. With all the newer alternatives (crowns, bridges, implants, etc.), why take the risk of a root canal gone bad. If my dentist were to recommend a root canal, I would definitely seek a 2nd...and maybe a 3rd opinion.

Mr Wizard, there is a big difference in cost. I have a tooth that needs treatment. A root canal would cost me $100's, whereas an implant would be around $4000! I'm certainly not going for the root canal, so I'm doing nothing ATM.

Ouch!! Didn't realize the huge difference in treatment. Now I see why people opt for root canals. Canals are scary, given the havoc they can wreak on other parts of your body. I'm with you...I would do nothing before going for the canal.
