    May 23 2018

The pomegranate “has been revered through the ages for its medicinal properties”—so much so that it’s been used as a symbol for some medical organizations. The pomegranate is thought to be beneficial for a wide range of diseases, including several types of cancer, cardiovascular disease, and rheumatoid arthritis. Most of the attention over the last decade has focused on pomegranates and prostate cancer. In vitro studies have shown that pomegranate extract can suppress the growth of prostate cancer cells in a petri dish by up to 95 percent

This is great news....another natural ingredient to help fight prostate cancer. Although a growing number of men are being diagnosed, many of them are opting to a "watchful waiting" therapy as oppose to jumping right into radical surgery and radiation. A huge percentage of prostate caners are "slow growing" and do not require immediate radical therapies, which almost always causes some type of dysfunction in sexual performance and/or urinary incontinence.

Pomegranate is also know to be a calcified artery cleanser. I once asked a urologist what was a possible cause of a benign, enlarged prostate, and his answer was "...calcification". http://www.greenmedinfo.com/blog/can...ng-under-knife

Some research suggest that diet plays a major role in maintaining a healthy prostate and reducing chances of prostate cancer. Foods high in zinc, like raw oysters & clams, and tomato products containing lycopene, selenium, and omega-3 oils in salmon, mackerel, etc., are all nutrients needed to maintain a healthy prostate.
