    Oh my, Islander! I remember the few times I had apple cider as a child in Indiana in the fall! It was so delicious and special!

    And it is. I managed to score 6 gallons of the real thing! I'm freezing them in half-gallon bottles so I can enjoy them throughout the winter months.

    I am a Mr Wizard fan, as well, and frequently find his contributions to a post more informative than the original article.

    Thank you Islander for the information about real apple cider no longer being commercially available. Another small joy from my childhood which now is gone.
