    Doctors are once again expressing their disappointment over the latest flu vaccine.
    The CDC reports that the vaccine failed miserably against a flu bug that popped up halfway through the season.
    In fact -- the agency rated its effectiveness at just 9% against that strain and the overall effectiveness for the entire season at 29%.
    Early in the season, the vaccine was working really well. The CDC reported in February that the vaccine was 47% effective, which is higher than the past two years.

    For the life of me, I don't understand why anyone--other than those with extremely compromised immune systems--would take the flu vaccine. For 3 years in a row, it has woefully under-performed. Yet, everywhere you go--grocery store included--someone's pushing "free" flu shots. No wonder they give them away!!
