Default Five Weight Loss Supplements That Are A Waste Of Money

When you google "weight loss" the challenge to sort fact from fiction begins.
These five supplements claim to speed up weight loss, but let's see what the evidence says.

    1. Raspberry ketones
Raspberry ketones, sold as weight loss tablets, are chemicals found in red raspberries responsible for that distinct raspberry flavour and smell. You can also make raspberry ketones in a lab.

There is only one supplement that is effective in achieving weight loss. The problem is that it's homeopathic, and there are multiple substitutes on the market that don't differentiate between their uselessness and the real thing.

And even that one supplement does not always work for everybody, as is the case for most supplements. Many of the 5 supplements mentioned in the article base their weight loss results on animal (rat) studies. Unfortunately, research has repeatedly shown what works in animal studies don't translate to humans. Raw apple cider vinegar (ACV) is a good example. Several animal studies showed ACV promoted weight loss--the acetic acid specifically. However, the few human studies did not produce the same results. However, I swear by raw, unfiltered ACV for weight loss. I've achieved really good results.

One thing I know after trying dieting for years, is that, less food intake and exercise are the only ones that are effective to achieve great body. Those supplements are just assisting those.

On the whole, that's true, but not all calories are equal. Calories from healthy fats (like from organic meats and poultry, grass fed butter, coconut oil etc.) tend to be used directly for energy, whereas calories from starchy carbs are more likely to be stored as fat.
