Here’s some highly encouraging news: the influential CEO of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) is on the record as a low-carb eater.
In a recent podcast interview that is setting the low-carb world abuzz, ADA CEO Tracy Brown said she successfully manages her own type 2 diabetes, and has come off all her insulin and three other medications, by avoiding sugar and carbs.

Hallelujah! Does this suggests that someone in the medical profession actually acknowledges that Type 2 diabetes is a lifestyle disease?

Kudos to American Diabetes Association (ADA) CEO--Tracy Brown--for recommending a low-carb diet. I was pleasantly surprised to see the "recommended diets" on the ADA website. The overall takeaway: "There's no specific diabetic diet...it can be different for individuals. But, to lower and keep your A1C level in check, the website recommends the Mediterranean Diet, Vegan & Vegetarian diet, and Low-Carb diet. Very encouraging news!!
