Magnesium is an important mineral that’s involved in many aspects of your health.
In fact, studies show that it may help improve blood sugar control, prevent migraine attacks, reduce blood pressure levels, and protect against depression

The Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) — the intake that’s sufficient for nearly all healthy individuals — for magnesium is 310–420 mg daily for adults. While most people can meet their needs through food sources alone, supplements may be necessary in some cases (5).
This article helps determine the best time to take magnesium to maximize its effectiveness

While it is true that the best time of day is the one that you will remember to take it, the form of magnesium is important to consider. For example, Mg Taurate might be better taken in the morning, while Mg Glycinate or Mg Threonate might be better taken in the evening.

I take 600mg chelated magnesium, in 3 doses during the day. This article points out the long-term benefits, implying it doesn't have an immediate effect. It doesn't seem to help with my insomnia, and I'm wondering if taking it all at once in the evening would make any difference. The form is mag glycinate.

I take glycinate in the morning and don't notice any effect at all, but that's typical of me and supplements. I just have faith that they are all doing their job!
