    • Four young coronavirus patients with "mild" cases told Business Insider they are still experiencing symptoms after more than a month.
    • Many of them feel guilty for not being able to fully return to work. Some say their families and colleagues are skeptical of their lingering illness.
    • All four patients said they expected to be recovered within two weeks, based on CDC guidance.
    • But doctors aren't sure how long coronavirus symptoms typically last, meaning patients can't plan for life post-recovery.

This shows how devastating COVID can be even for "young" people. Many young people aren't as healthy as they think. Being "young" does not automatically equate to being healthy. For young and old, I believe the severity of COVID may depend on how healthy one was when they contracted the virus. Lots of young people in their 20s & 30s were raised on unhealthy diets, lack of exercise, and are overweight or obese. It's plausible to me that many "young" people may take months to years to fully recover. There are medical reasons, like lung scarring & persistent inflammation, that may prolong recovery as well.

There's a chance that duration may also align with the particular strain of the virus, since we know that there is quite a variety of strains now in circulation.

Excellent point. I never thought about duration variance based on strain type.
