Default Alert But Not Alarmed: New h1in1 Swine Flu Found In China

    July 2 2020

Researchers have found a new strain of flu virus with “pandemic potential” in China that can jump from pigs to humans, triggering a suite of worrying headlines.
It’s excellent this virus has been found early, and raising the alarm quickly allows virologists to swing into action developing new specific tests for this particular flu virus.
But it’s important to understand that, as yet, there is no evidence of human-to-human transmission of this particular virus. And while antibody tests found swine workers in China have had it in the past, there’s no evidence yet that it’s particularly deadly.

It's good this virus has been around for a few years. While this particular strain is new, the H1N1 virus has been around for decades. This makes me wonder whether people could contract more than one virus at a time. Could this already be the case? Could some of the more severe COVID cases be COVID combined with other undetected viruses simultaneously?

What a horrible thought. I surely hope not! One virus at a time, please! I wonder whether such a two pronged attack is even possible.

According to a recent study by researchers at the University of Glasgow, England, it is possible to have more than one virus at the same time. The study analyzed 36,000 people with 11 different types of respiratory viruses over a 9-period, and determined that in at least 8% of the cases (about 3,000 people) had more than one respiratory virus. However, it also concluded that if a person was infected with an influenza virus, the person was 70% "less likely" to become infected with a rhinovirus (the virus responsible for 40% of common colds.) So, yep it is certainly "possible" to have more than one virus at a time. Keep Reading: https://www.gla.ac.uk/news/headline_703609_en.html

2020 is not even over yet and we could face another virus in our hands. Also, I noticed that most viruses now are coming from animals. For example, ebola, covid and now this. It's getting quite common I noticed.

Yes, that's where they usually originate. HIV, bird flu, swine flu, and possibly COVID-19, which is suspected to have originated in bats. Thousands of viruses are carried in animals and it's only a matter of chance that some of them jump to humans. The way that humans have moved in to occupy the natural habitat of wildlife hasn't help the situation.

So basically because of humans destroying the animals habitat and moving in there, the animals brought the diseases to them easily now. It really makes sense now. I noticed more and more animals are getting used to humans and even coming out from their habitat and getting close to housing areas.

Too many people, and they all have to live somewhere. Plus the land taken over to feed them. Sigh!
