Default Announcing a shift in the Hawkes' Heath "Rules" on political discourse

For four years, the U.S. mainstream media and "legacy" media have been tiptoeing around Donald Trump's misstatements, trying to find acceptable euphemisms for the words "lies" and "liar." Those courtesies are over; it's no longer possible to gloss over what the entire world recognizes and frequently satirizes. We seem to have arrived at the point where it's not even possible to report on topics of health and wellness without including references to the current administration of the United States in all its improbable excesses.

So I'm going to make an executive decision. This is not to be understood as a rule change; I am not encouraging political discussions anywhere on the site. What I am saying is that it's ludicrous to try to avoid mentioning a name when a story is in fact based on the name of a particular political figure. When momentous decisions with far-reaching, even global, consequences are made by the president of the United States, trying to avoid naming him is just petty.

Oh good, a little wiggle room. I would hope that could also apply to serious health and safety products as well ???

Not sure what you mean, but use your common sense.
