    • A new survey has found that the COVID-19 pandemic is having a bigger impact on the mental and general health of American men than many admit.
    • 77 percent of respondents said their stress levels increased during the pandemic, while 59 percent reported they felt isolated.
    • About 45 percent said their emotional and mental health declined during this difficult period.
    • Experts say a large percentage of men typically avoid seeking treatment for their physical or mental health.

I have no references to back up my opinion, but I would say that we are all equally affected by stress, isolation, and the impact on our emotional and mental health. It may be that more men than women have lost their jobs as a result of COVID-19, but women who are working at home and simultaneously trying to manage homeschooling for children have surely been equally stressed if not more so. They are still responsible for housekeeping and meals, with the added burdens of holding down a job from home and overseeing their children's education. That's quite a burden!

Agree, wholeheartedly. I think the upshot of this research was to highlight that men--who are typically known for their macho, hardcore, stoic pretenses--have suffered emotionally and mentally from this pandemic just like women have. Women are more apt to talk openly and seek help for their emotional & mental challenges, whereas men....not so much!!!
