Default Dietary And Blood Cholesterols: What To Know

    February 26 2021

Dietary cholesterol refers to cholesterol that enters the body through foods such as red meats, eggs, and fatty dairy products. It may not impact blood cholesterol as much as once thought, according to the American Heart Association (AHA).

A scientific advisory from the AHA indicates there is no proven link between the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and dietary cholesterol.
However, a heart-healthy diet and lifestyle may help a person maintain optimum cardiovascular health. Individuals can work with their doctor to manage any personal factors that could affect their cholesterol levels.

The creator gave humans a liver that is programmed to manufacture the cholesterol our body needs. Dietary fat, as the article points out, has virtually nothing to do with the level of serum cholesterol. The liver is in charge of that and I dare say it's safe to assume that our liver knows what it's doing.
Statin drugs decrease the amount of cholesterol manufactured by the liver. It should be absolutely apparent, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that lowering that level is going to have adverse consequences. The human body is a finally tuned instrument, and interfering with one process is going to reverberate in a variety of unexpected ways.

It seems almost pointless to reiterate that this has been well known for over a generation… yet doctors continue to prescribe statin drugs.

I agree, but 'well known' doesn't seem to cut it unless there is a peer-reviewed study. ( Same with the article on vitamin D). I have a male friend who still won't eat egg yolks, and will only eat kangaroo meat because it is virtually fat-free. I've given up sending articles to him.

We've posted enough about it here that surely there are studies to confirm it. I just can't be bothered to find them. Let those who want to know, look for them!
