    People have eaten dates, the fruit of the date palm tree, for over 6,000 years.

    Today, many individuals commonly enjoy these sweet fruits in their dried form. They are a good source of carbohydrates and contain many vitamins and minerals.
    However, due to the natural sweetness and high carbohydrate content of dates, people with diabetes may wonder if they are safe to consume. In this article, we investigate the effects of dates on blood sugar levels.

    I don't know whether I'd eat 7 to 10 dates in one sitting. My A1c is now down to 4.6 and I don't want to mess it up. The thing about dates is that, like anything sweet thing, after two or three bites you want four or five more!
