Nearly 40% of new Covid patients were vaccinated - compared to 1% who had been infected previously

Coronavirus patients who recovered from the virus were far less likely to become infected during the latest wave of the pandemic than people who were vaccinated against COVID, according to numbers presented to the Israeli Health Ministry.
Health Ministry data on the wave of COVID outbreaks which began this May show that Israelis with immunity from natural infection were far less likely to become infected again in comparison to Israelis who only had immunity via vaccination.

To me, this is not surprising. It just seems common sense to expect this result. It would also be very useful and interesting to somehow do a similar study of people who haven't been vaccinated, nor had Covid to their knowledge, but just from being exposed via other people developed natural immunity.

Hello everyone, long time no chat. @topic That new variant Lambda is terrifying! I pray that it won't reach Philippines. :(

Pattypans, that entire situation makes perfect sense to me. Apparently we are all too busy trying to answer the 50 or 75 or 101 unanswered questions to be able to devote further research to a comparative analysis. In fact, I am becoming weary of all the noise that's being made about the unvaccinated. If they haven't changed their minds by now, offering them further incentives will not be effective. At this point, if they get sick and die, it's on them.

Would love a video or article about how the delta variant affects children. Especially with the school year coming up. Hard to find anything that isn't anecdotal evidence online.

Even if we knew more, how helpful would it be considering that children aren't eligible for vaccination?
