Onions from Mexico linked to salmonella outbreak in 37 states

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is asking people to check their onions after a salmonella outbreak sickened more than 650 people across the country.
The CDC said fresh, whole red, white and yellow onions imported from Chihuahua, Mexico, are subject to the alert. ProSource Inc. distributed them to grocery stores and restaurants throughout the U.S.
The company last imported the affected onions on Aug. 27, but they can last for up to three months in storage and might still be in homes and businesses, the CDC said.

I bought some red onion yesterday, just before I saw this recent new salmonella TV news report. However, I don't eat that much raw onion, (except green onion), and most all my onions are cooked in my morning breakfast skillet, well above the safe minimum temperature for salmonella, as described in this following article link: https://www.seniorcare2share.com/wha..._on_vegetables
