Default Has anyone ever tried this for skin tags?

Has anybody tried using a paste of castor oil and baking soda on skin tags to make them dry up and fall off? I found the idea online and many have said it works. Just started using it last night.

I'll keep you posted (apparently it might take several weeks or so), but in the meantime, if anybody has any experience with this or any other natural home remedy for skin tags, I'd love to hear about it.

I have used orange oil and oil of oregano on precancerous lesions on my skin but I've never heard of this one for skin tags. I don't have any but will be very interested in seeing how it does!

Yes they did. I originally saw a post somewhere to use orange oil, but didn't have it at the time, so I used oil of oregano and it worked really well. I have had squamous cell skin cancer removed surgically on my lip but I keep getting recurrences. Last time the area popped up, I used OO and it took about 3 weeks. Interestingly, that's been at least 2 years since that treatment and the area has stayed nice and smooth. I've used orange oil on scaly areas on my hands too and it worked also. I will warn you, if the area is open at all, it burns like crazy at first. I think I applied it 2 or 3 times a day.

I'm embarassed to say I don't know what skin tags are! Maybe it is not a phrase used in Oz, but I've only seen them mentioned on health sites.

Skin tags are those little flaps of skin that hang off the main area of skin. They are often to be seen around the eyelids, under the arms, on the neck and elsewhere. They are more common as we age particularly in the overweight or obese or those with diabetes type 2. While they are not a health concern normally, they can be a nuisance when they catch on jewellery or clothing or get injured during shaving. More of a concern are anal skin tags as they can be an indication of other conditions. My two articles go into all the details.

Wow! That's wonderful, Mellow. I'm so happy it worked. Very helpful information. Thanks for sharing it.

Jane - is this product safe to use around the mouth? Our dog has a skin tag just underneath her lower lip where there is a possibility she could swallow some if it was applied there.

You use such a very small amount - a drop or two on a Q-tip - that I cannot see that your dog would get to swallow any. That said, it is for external use only.

I haven't been very diligent with applying it, but I'm getting more on the ball now. I did have a dream the other night that it came off.
