Default Woman Says Prescription Drug Caused Brain Injury

By Jane Mundy April 19, 2012

Amy spent 10 days in a psychiatric ward after she was given two shots of Lupron Depot. "I would never have known that this drug caused my brain injury had I not read my discharge report," she says. Amy has been diagnosed with dementia—she is only 41 years old.

    This is unconscionable.

Of course, it is far from the only drug with such serious, if rare, side effects. Young women can have a stroke taking the Pill. Statins damage muscle tissue (including the heart). The list goes on and on.

Now that she is firmly in the hands of the medical con-artists, all the other drugs she is taking will just continue the cycle.

Isn't that sad, Katee? One wonders how she trusts them and takes their drugs in such quantities after what she's been through. I think her emphasis on the importance of having read her discharge papers is very good, but it seems she might have missed another vital lesson.
