Default Dealing with spammers who PM

Yes, I need to know if you receive a spammy PM. I automatically receive your notifications in my in-box, and if I'm home & on line, I'll see them pretty quickly.

But I cannot ban a spammer based only on peems. I need an IP number, which does not show up on peems. So the thing tadoo: Go to Quick Links on the dark blue bar, and scroll down to Who's Online. If you see our spammer there, copy the IP number and shoot that to me. I'll do the rest!

Thanks, everyone, for helping to keep HH nuisance-free! It's been a DAY!

Damn, I deleted the message before I read this post. Someone selling Viagra. I will watch out next time - though it doesn't happen often.

Thanks for the tip, Islander. I had not known about the Quick Links, Who's On Line function. I had received the spammer's PM, as well.

Please also note: some of you assume I can access your in-box. I cannot. Your PMs are truly private. If you get one of these, just make a note of the user name before deleting it, so you know who to watch for on line.

I won't be able to help you there Islander. I got so sick of the spam in my in box, I have reset it to only accept messages from those members I have selected for my buddy list. I try to remember to include each new regular as they join the forum.
